Clelia II

Would you want to take a cruise throughout the Great Lakes? I think it would be a beautiful trip but I had never considered doing that before. There is a cruise ship passing our place right now. The Clelia II is traveling from Toronto to Duluth. I included a link to the Great Lakes Cruising website and also the price list. That will blow you away. The prices are much higher than a Carribean cruise. I wonder where most of the passengers come from?

They aren't having a very nice day for cruising because it is raining hard right now. I'm actually happy about the rain. Besides not having to water my garden, it gives me an day to work inside the cabin. We have been downstate for the past 5 days. We have our home near Grand Rapids for sale and we had an open house on Sunday. The open house hasn't brought any offers although we had 7 couples tour the house.

We are planning on being here until the end of the summer at least. I'm looking forward to it.

Now I hope I spend today working inside the cabin, but spending the day reading while it is raining outside sounds wonderful too.

Youv'e got to be kidding me on the prices!. You can put a very good down payment on some property in the White Fish point region. That's crazy.. But again it is just my thoughts.

We need rain down state too. It has been dry. The wheat is getting ready to harvest but the corn and soybeans growth has about come to a stop. Just need an inch or two to jump start that again. Tom in Bay City

Tom, Those prices are out of sight, aren't they?

We're getting a nice soaking rain right now but I hope it lasts all day because things are dry here. The main crop for Chippewa County is hay and I saw lots of farmers out working last night when we arrived back here. So this will give them a day off but help future crops.

Rain, Rain, Go Away...Only one thing I hate worse than rain, that's Snow.
I like the mild temps here in the summer but trying to get out and about in a wheelchair when it rains really is not good.

The Clelia is a pretty ship pricey yes, but still a pretty ship. I would like to take a tour of her. You've got to remember that the price you pay to travel on here is like paying for royal treatment.

We will be spending more time here in the Soo if we sell our house. Last winter we spent 2 months in Phoenix, but this year our daughter from there is moving, so we may travel around the South and find another place to spend time.

Thanks for the updates on the boats. I went up and took some pictures of the Clelia. It is a beautiful boat.

Watched her on to webcam going through the locks at 5:00 PM. They docked at Alfred Park to let the people play tourist for awhile. Nice pics. Wish I had the money they pay for those trips.

We would be glad to have you as a permanent resident here at the Soo.

Saultsue, Glad you saw the Clelia II. She is on her way to Duluth and has a return trip booked so we should be seeing her again in a few days.

Joyce, I'll email you with the details. Just heard today that Kristen is planning on coming home for the wedding. :)
