If you are reading this blog, you may be interested in reading more about the Sault area on Facebook. There are a couple of pages that I really enjoy and thought you might too.
The first is "I Love Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan". People post about their memories of the Soo and others post great photos of the Soo-past and present.
The second page is Mv Algolake. This page gives you a great view of life on the Great Lakes freighter Algolake. I have really gotten a flavor for what life on board a freighter is like with this site.
Both pages are worth looking at often. If you have any questions about Facebook, I'd be glad to try to answer them for you.

Thanks for the info. I deleted my facebook account due to some weird "goings on" so I won't be able to visit the ones you mentioned.
There is also a Boat Nerd page on facebook that has some good boat pictures. I am also posting boat pictures that I take on facebook too.
