Let's talk about what is so great about Michigan especially the Upper Peninsula. I have lived here my entire life but I continue to find new and wonderful things to visit and learn about.

Beautiful Picture & Today's Traffic
One of my Facebook friends posted the above beautiful picture today. She said, "I heard this boat coming this morning, it was so pretty that I jumped out of bed, went to the rock cut and caught these pictures. Notice the fog following this boat. It was weird. I think I'll paint this picture today."
I can't wait to see the painting. Randy is south of here located near Barbeau. Randy, thanks for letting me share this with my readers.
Today was a fairly quiet day for boat traffic.

Downbound:
American Century
Canadian Coast Guard Kelso
Alpena
James R. Barker
Federal Miramichi
We are getting ready for our grandkids who are coming on Sunday. I found butterfly nets for $1 at Parkers Hardware in the Sault. I also need to get some kites and also I'm trying to think of some ideas for other activities while they are here. They are ages 6 - 10, and like to be very active. They will have swimming and the water, but I want to be prepared just in case the weather is cool. I think there is a good chance it will be cool.

Federal Miramichi was down bound in front of Brady Park while I was having lunch today. The Beeghly was still tied to the Carbide Docks this afternoon when I was on the way home.
That is a beauty of picture you posted. I am going to copy it and use it for my desk top background it you don't mind.
Have fun with the grandkids this weekend. I'm taking mine to Saginaw with me. I have get some repairs done on my wheelchair. Then we are going to the new hands on museum and the go cart track.
What a beautiful picture. I hope you post the painting.
Brenda, My kids love the snchor in the Sault Visitors Center. It is the anchor located at the West end of the park. They climb on it to get a better look at ships going through the locks. And then they climb on it just to climb on it.
You can also take them to Oswalds Bear Park. It is only $15.00 for a car load of people. The boy's thought it was a real neat thing to see all of the bears close up and getthere picture taken with the cubs.
You also have White Fish Point. I hope that helps some.. Tom from Bay City
This is a beautiful shot! Love to see the painting
Gorgeous picture. I am glad your friend let you share it.
Randy Krause, the person who took the picture and painted it, sent me the jpeg file of the picture. If you want it, I will send it to you. Email me at saultboatwatcher@gmail.com. I'm going to blog about it later today.
