Let's talk about what is so great about Michigan especially the Upper Peninsula. I have lived here my entire life but I continue to find new and wonderful things to visit and learn about.

USCG Cutter Mackinaw
The United States Coast Guard cutter Mackinaw just went down after spending the night in the Soo. You can see it is still a bit foggy but it was a beautiful sight.

It was really foggy at 3AM. Saw the Canadian Leger up bound into the locks at 5:30 pm. Watch a different type of Coast Guard Patrol boat come into the base tonight. She has a brushed Aluminum hull and structure. She reminded me of the type of rescue boat used in the ocean for coastal patrol. I was fishing at the city marina docks at the time so got a good look at the new arrival.
